About us
Recreativa was born from the shared passion of two sisters for photography, writing, illustration, and other creative pursuits.
Together, we set out to build a community where we could connect with people drawn to the same interests, through courses, conversations, and other activities within our own corner of the internet.
Today we’re a space to spark creativity: a virtual place to learn and build community, complemented by a stationery business with original design for all kinds of purposes.

Before anything becomes a product, it all starts as a sketch, with pencil on paper. That’s what gives each design its warmth, and the reason why no two pieces feel quite the same.

The humans behind Recreativa
Citlali Reyes
A Mexican illustrator, author and art director. From an early age she loved doodling and telling stories through images, which drew her into the world of illustration, where she’s worked for nearly ten years. In 2014 she partnered with Lil’ Libros and has since illustrated more than thirty children’s books for the publisher.

Nayeli Reyes
She loves spending her days at the stove or with her nose buried in a book — that’s how the idea for her blog was born. For her, cooking is steeped in stories, myths, and emotions that can be told through flavors, textures, and aromas.
